Friend Authorization

Go to Me โ†’ Notification Settings โ†’ Alarm Permissions and enable alarms. Then choose which friends can send you alarms. You're always in control โ€” revoke anytime.

Enable on Creation

When creating a countdown for you, your friend can toggle on "Alarm Mode." You'll see an alarm badge on the countdown.

Ring When Due

When the countdown reaches zero, your phone rings just like a system alarm. If Do Not Disturb is on, we respect your settings.

Alarm Mode FAQ

Which devices support Alarm Mode?
Alarm Mode uses a system-level alarm API introduced in iOS 26, so it requires iOS 26 or later. Older devices can still use countdown features โ€” just without the alarm.
Will I be spammed?
Alarm Mode requires two conditions: first, you must authorize the friend's alarm permission; second, they must toggle alarm on when creating the countdown. Only your most trusted friends get this, and you can revoke it anytime.
What does the alarm look like?
It looks and works just like the built-in iPhone alarm โ€” full-screen alert showing the countdown title and sender. You can tap "Stop" or "Snooze."
Will the alarm ring before the countdown ends?
No. The alarm only triggers when the countdown reaches zero. If you tap "Done" before the deadline, no alarm will sound.
How do I manage alarm permissions?
Go to Me โ†’ Notification Settings โ†’ Alarm Permissions. You can toggle alarms on/off globally, or manage each friend individually.

What is ReadyApp?
ReadyApp is a social countdown timer. Set countdowns for friends, hold each other accountable, and build reliable habits together.
Is ReadyApp free?
Yes โ€” completely free with no ads and no in-app purchases. We may introduce premium features in the future, but core features will always be free.
What is Alarm Mode? Will I be spammed?
Alarm Mode lets a friend trigger a real system alarm on your phone. It requires dual consent: you must authorize the friend, and they must enable it when creating the countdown. Only your trusted friends get this power, and you can revoke it anytime. Note: Alarm Mode requires iOS 26+.
Is my data safe?
All data is stored on servers in the United States (AWS), transmitted over HTTPS, and sensitive information is encrypted with AES-256. We never sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising or AI training.
What login methods are supported?
Email one-time passcode, Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In. All authentication is managed through Clerk.
Can I delete my account?
Yes โ€” you can request account deletion anytime within the app. All your data will be permanently removed, including your profile, friend connections, countdown history, and more.
